The Willys Knight automobiles came with a quiet valveless engine. Each cylinder had a piston of course, but each cylinder also had two rotating cylinder sleeves that revealed intake and exhaust ports. While this sounds like a 2-cycle engine, it is not. It is 4-cycle.
